Join the Kiwanis Club of Raleigh as we welcome Roy Lee Lindsey, Chief Executive Officer of the North Carolina Pork Council. A lifelong advocate for agriculture, Roy Lee grew up on a small family farm in western Oklahoma before earning bachelor's and master's degrees from Oklahoma State University. He began his career as a 4-H youth educator and went on to lead the Oklahoma Pork Council for more than 22 years before becoming CEO of the North Carolina Pork Council in 2021.
Today, Roy Lee represents one of North Carolina's most important agricultural industries, working with pork producers across the state on public policy, education, environmental stewardship, and consumer outreach. He is passionate about telling the story of modern agriculture and the families who produce our food. His presentation will explore the economic impact of North Carolina's pork industry, the challenges and opportunities facing today's farmers, and why agriculture continues to play a vital role in our state's economy and communities.
