Friday Lunch with Guest Speaker, Johnny Moore with the NC Sports Hall of Fame

  • Highland United Methodist Church 1901 Ridge Road Raleigh, NC, 27607 United States (map)

The Kiwanis Club of Raleigh welcomes Johnny Moore, Executive Director of the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame, for a discussion on preserving and celebrating the rich legacy of sports in North Carolina.

After serving for more than a decade on the organization’s Board of Directors, Moore was named Executive Director of the Hall, where he now leads efforts to honor the athletes, coaches, broadcasters, and contributors who have shaped the state’s sports history. Founded in 1963, the Hall recognizes excellence across professional, collegiate, amateur, and Olympic sports while promoting education and storytelling through events, archives, and community outreach.

A native of Garner and a longtime leader in sports communications and marketing, Moore previously worked with Duke University Athletics, IMG, Learfield, and numerous collegiate athletic programs nationwide. He also serves as a lecturer at Duke University and has spent decades helping connect fans, institutions, and communities through sports.

Join us for a conversation about the role of the Hall of Fame, the importance of preserving North Carolina sports history, and the stories behind some of the state’s most iconic athletic figures.
