Join the Kiwanis Club of Raleigh as we welcome David Williams for a personal and inspiring presentation about living with Parkinson's disease. After transforming his health in his 50s by losing more than 100 pounds, David embraced endurance sports and completed his first marathon at age 56. Following a Parkinson's diagnosis in 2025, he has continued to pursue an active lifestyle as a runner, cyclist, and triathlete.
Rather than allowing Parkinson's to define him, David has turned his diagnosis into a mission of hope and advocacy. He serves as a Parkinson's Champion, raises awareness and funds for Parkinson's research and support programs, and encourages others facing health challenges to stay active, maintain a positive outlook, and build strong community connections. During his presentation, David will share his personal journey, the realities of living with Parkinson's disease, and the lessons he has learned about resilience, purpose, and finding strength in the face of adversity.
